The HSI Wichita Site Committee
has a track record of stepping in and making a safety difference.
Composed of an equal representation of IAM (labor) and Boeing
(management) representatives, the Wichita Site Committee serves
as an effective force for facilitating health and safety in
the workplace. Through constant vigilance, continuing education
and communication and mitigation experience, the committee
works closely with labor and management to address health-
and safety- related concerns. The committee meets and tours
monthly and as necessary to help promote health and safety
awareness and improvements. The group has numerous contractual
responsibilities, including Hazard Communication, Joint Communication,
Incident Investigation support and sharing breakthroughs and
best practices. Management representatives are appointed and
