Education Assistance Eligibility

All IAM-represented employees in Districts 751 and W24 who are active on the start date of their courses can apply and receive a voucher for training at accredited or non-accredited Joint Programs approved educational institutions up to the IAM/Boeing Joint Programs funding limit per calendar year. In addition, active employees completing an associate, bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree receive Boeing stock units. Employees also can take flight training through Joint Programs Education Assistance and receive the special incentive payments available to all Boeing employees once they solo or earn their flying license.

Persons on WARN, laid off or LOA from Boeing must talk with an IAM/Boeing Joint Programs Career Advisor before an Education Assistance voucher will be approved.

Laid-off hourly employees can receive benefits for up to three years after their date of layoff. Please refer to the EA Guidelines or speak with an IAM/Boeing Joint Programs Career Advisor for details.
